Exhaust Volvo V70 T5

Project: Volvo V70 T5 – Full 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust System
Goal: Maximum flow, tight sound, and usability without compromise

A fully custom-made 3" stainless steel exhaust system was built for this Volvo V70 T5. The car was equipped with a 19T turbo, but the existing downpipe was tapered from 3" to 2.5" to connect to the original system. This limited performance and didn't match the rest of the setup. The request: a truly full 3" system, without compromise.

Work performed:

Downpipe upgrade:
The transition from 3" to 2.5" was replaced with a full 3" downpipe, with a new lambda connection and a V-band coupling for easy installation, removal, and maintenance.

Complete 3” exhaust system in 304 stainless steel:

TIG-welded with care for flow and durability.

Equipped with a no-drone muffler, so the system remains quiet at constant speeds, yet sounds full under load.

Additional rear muffler for a clean, sporty sound without excessive volume.

V-band couplings at multiple points for easy maintenance.

Perfectly fitting tailpipe under the original bumper recess.

Maximum ground clearance maintained, ideal for everyday use and sporty driving.

Result:
A performance-oriented yet street-friendly exhaust system that fully utilizes the 19T turbo. The combination of good sound, zero resonance, and well-thought-out installation makes this system suitable for both everyday driving and future performance.

Customer Satisfaction:
The owner was very satisfied: no drone in the cabin, noticeably better performance, and a system that is as serviceable as it is durable—with a tight fit and maximum usability.
